  • How is the final product delivered?
The final documentary is provided in high-quality digital format and can also be delivered on physical media, such as a USB drive. We also offer the option for a custom-designed hard copy family tree.
  • How does Legacy Capture pricing work?
Legacy Capture is a highly customizable service, tailored to your unique vision. Pricing is flexible and primarily influenced by production and post-production time. The Archival Edition starts at $4,500, with costs increasing based on the level of editing, additional services like media digitization or genealogical research, and the overall scope of your project. • What is Legacy Capture?
Legacy Capture is a personalized service that creates a professional, cinematic documentary of your life story or that of a loved one, preserving cherished memories for future generations. We preserve the authenticity of their story. Depending on what edition you choose, the length of final project is typically about 1.5-2.5 hours.
  • What if I don't have any media from every significant portion of my life?
Not a problem. We can source archival media (photo, video, print news, etc.) to supplement the areas that need supporting visuals. We can also create animated sequences to artistically portray the story being told.
  • Can I include old family photos, videos, or documents?
Absolutely, and we encourage it! We offer a digital scanning service that allows you to include old family photos, videos, and documents in your documentary. We can digitize items in formats like VHS, Super 8, and more.
  • How long does the process take from start to finish?
The timeline depends on the scope of your project, but generally, the process from filming to final delivery can take several weeks. We’ll work with you to provide an estimated schedule once the project is scoped. Typically have 2 meetings ahead of the production day to get acquainted, do a pre-interview, and schedule the production phase.
  • What if I want to trace my family history or create a family tree?
We offer genealogy services where we research your family’s ancestry and present it in a beautifully designed family tree, available in both digital and physical formats.
  • Can the documentary be customized to my preferences?
Absolutely. Our service is highly customizable, ensuring the final product reflects your personal story and preferences. We’ll collaborate with you every step of the way.
  • How do you ensure the recording captures the essence of our family's story?
We ask thoughtful, tailored questions to bring your loved one's story to life. With a sensitive approach and professional filming, we ensure a personal, high-quality recording that truly captures their essence.
  • Where will the filming take place?
We encourage filming in your loved ones home so they're as comfortable as possible throughout the interview process. We can film in another location of personal importance, such as their business or house of worship. We’re also able to travel to locations that are vital to your narrative.
